Auto detailing, rebuilt off WordPress
A one-page detailing site that replaced a WordPress install: faster, nothing to patch, and no plugin bills. It went up beside the old site first so the client could compare the two on real URLs, then took over the domain the day they said go.

The problem
WordPress for a five-section brochure site means a database, a plugin surface, and a patching obligation to publish what amounts to a menu and a phone number.
What got built
One static page with anchored sections, WebP imagery with JPEG fallbacks, and a hosting config that sets security headers plus a one-day asset cache with a seven-day stale-while-revalidate window. It ran alongside the existing site during review, with its canonical tag pointed at the production domain so the preview never competed in search. At cutover the domain moved to the new build and the canonical came home with it.
Details worth naming
- Reviewed in parallel with the live WordPress site, then promoted to the client's own domain with no gap in service.
- Canonical URL managed through the cutover, so the review deployment stayed out of the index and the live site indexes cleanly.
- Security headers and a tuned cache policy configured at the edge.
- Responsive imagery served as WebP with JPEG fallbacks.
