A small firm that ships.
Pineland Technologies builds websites, software, and AI systems from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The work goes back to 2014, over a decade of it. The recent projects here are all deployed and running, because a firm that cannot point at running software is selling something other than software. Every website that leaves here is AI-friendly by a standard anybody can check in a minute, and we published the study of who else meets it.
Where this comes from
Pineland has run under this name since 2014, and the work has not let up. The thread through all of it is the same: building software for businesses that actually operate, whether that is a mobile oil change company, a locksmith, a detailer, or a dog training nonprofit. Not client work at arm's length, but the version where you also answer the phone when a booking form breaks on a Saturday.
That changes what you build. You stop shipping features that demo well and start shipping the ones that reduce the number of things a business owner has to think about. It is also where the opinions came from, and every one of them traces back to a project where doing it the other way cost somebody real money.
The work now spans a multi-tenant SaaS CRM with live vehicle-data and routing integrations, a private members' network on web and mobile, a two-sided advertising platform, an agency analytics product joining marketing spend to field-service revenue, and a set of marketing sites that between them cover hundreds of generated location pages.
How we work with clients
Direct. You talk to the person building the thing. There is no account manager relaying requirements through a ticket. Scope gets set honestly, including the parts of an idea worth cutting, and you see the real product on a real URL long before launch.
We host and maintain what we build, on a flat monthly plan, and none of it is leverage. The source, the accounts, and the domain move into your name whenever you ask, documented well enough that another developer could take it over cold. When a rebuild replaces a site that already works, the new one goes up beside it first. You compare them on real URLs, with the old site still serving customers, and the domain moves only once you are satisfied.
