A rebuild that kept every post since 2018
A service dog nonprofit with years of program pages, donor content, and blog posts stranded on aging shared hosting. All of it came across, back to 2018, onto a build that loads fast and that staff can edit themselves: changing a program description no longer means finding a developer.

The problem
Years of program pages, blog posts, and donor-facing content sat on aging shared hosting. Nonprofits cannot afford to lose that history, and they cannot afford a rebuild that needs a developer every time a program description changes.
What got built
Program and page copy lives in JSON content files rather than in components, so staff can update a paragraph without touching a React file. The full blog archive was carried across, including posts going back to 2018, and contact routes through Resend so form mail is reliable rather than dependent on the old host's PHP mailer.
Details worth naming
- Dedicated program pages for hearing dogs, PTSD and psychiatric service dogs, facility dogs, puppy raising, and the DUDawgs partnership.
- Full blog archive migrated, including posts dating back to 2018.
- Copy stored as structured JSON so program text can be edited without a code change.
- Donation and fundraising paths, including the annual charity golf outing.
