Ace Financial

Bookkeeping that speaks Formula 1, not Bank

A bookkeeper and fractional CFO who wanted his practice to feel like a pit wall rather than a bank lobby. Black and gold from his playing-card business card, an ace of spades, and three levels of service a business owner can read in one pass. It replaced a Squarespace site on a new national domain, and the old one forwards every path.

The Squarespace site it replaced scored 60 on mobile performance, blocked every assistant's crawler by default, and described itself to search engines as a bare website with an empty description.

AI-friendly checks passed

What an assistant reads before it recommends a business: robots.txt, the llms.txt and the structured data. Run the same checker on your own site.

Score my site
  • ProfessionalService and AccountingService

Structured data on every page, with the three levels as an offer catalog and the questions page as FAQPage.

  • A link preview for every page

Every page in the sitemap draws its own preview, so a link texted to a business partner arrives as the page it points at, not a bare address.

  • 15 assistants admitted by name

robots.txt names each crawler, and points at an llms.txt generated from the site's own content.

The problem

The old site had four services and no page for any of them, a phone number that could not be tapped on a phone, no analytics, and a mobile performance score of 60. Its robots file blocked every assistant by default, and it described itself to search engines as a bare website with an empty description. For a practice whose one goal is booked consultations, each of those was a lost call.

What got built

Built on the owner's own brand kit: its marks as SVG, its six colours, its three typefaces served from the site's own domain. Every fact lives in three content files, and the pages, the structured data and the llms.txt all read from them, so the phone number and the three levels cannot drift apart. The practice moved to a national domain at launch; the old one was cut over the same day and redirects with the path kept, so nothing that linked to it broke.

Details worth naming

  • A visual world taken from a playing card: Carbon and Podium Gold, a real ace of spades, and a timing-screen motif for the monthly close.
  • Three levels of service with a page each, and every booking button landing on the same consultation form.
  • Professional service, service and FAQ structured data, generated from the same files as the pages.
  • The old domain cut over at launch with every path redirected to the new one.
